My car has a bad case of Deals Gapilitus (its the road in north carolina and tennessee that has 317 hairpins in 11 miles). When I turn the left front strut pops horribly loud and the right front has a deep squeaking or sheering sound. with a ratchet you can turn what I thought was the nut on the top of the strut but its tight, its turning the whole thing and when it does it makes the sounds Im hearing. You can turn both sides at most an 1/8 of a turn. And driving it feels like the lowering springs are trying to settle in again. (the way it pulls to the left after a left turn and right after a right turn for a few days, but this is a lot worse)
