help! urgent! break pad help!
i have a stock 02 wrx, and iwas changing my front break pads today. i used axxis ultimate. everything went okay until i put the new pads on, but after i put the new pads on the whole caliper won't go into the rotor. seems like the pads are too thick. the car is still on the jack, and i'll have to head back out tomorrow. what did i do wrong?
please help, thanks a lot!

It would seem that you might have made a mistake....
Did you have any 'leftover' parts?
They shouldn't 'raddle'.

You might have transferred the clips, but how bout the backing plates. It is also a good Idea to put some of the red stuff between the backing plates and the back of the pad. Red stuff called "disk break quiet" made by CRC, can be found at your local Kragen for a few bucks. It is not necessary, but it is helpful to ensure quiet brakes. Oh yeah, the axxis pads might make a little noise over the stockers. It will go away as you heat them up.
-Hope this helps.

Careful with the goop!!
Just changed the rear disks of my girl's car.
One side of a rotor was toataly pitted and rusted. Uneven wear on the pads, even though the pins were well lubricated (Always lube the pins when doing a brake job).
When I tried to remove the outer pad, I found it glued in place in the guides from overrun of goop.
So, when you do this, make sure you don't glue the pads to the caliper guides!
