new pad without break in = soft brake?

hi guys, i just finished installing stoptech stage 2 on my wrx, done bleeding too. but when i go out for a drive (not doing the break in, just local test drive), the pedal feel so soft. is it because the new pads need to break in first in order to have good bites on the rotor? or i need to do the bleeding again to check on the air bubbles. i'm pretty sure that all the nuts and bolts are sealed and tight. also i have SS lines installed too. thanks for the advise.

My guess is you have an air bubble... try another bleed.

could be an airbubble in the line still....but also, to answer your question....yes, new pads DO need to be bedded and heat cycled or "broken in" as you may call it. They will start to bite better as they get properly bedded and heat cycled. But another bleed, just to double check and make sure there are no bubbles in the lines wont hurt either.
