Help??? BC BR coilovers small issue (I Hope)

Had a set of BC BR coilovers installed on my 03 wrx about a month ago. I was driving up an on ramp loop yesterday turning right when half way through the ramp the rear driver side starts rubbing real bad. I thought maybe i took the turn a little too fast but on the way home it would rub on every little bump and turn i hit and just that side (never did before). When I got outta the car and checked, the rear driver side was lower than the rear passenger side, and they were dropped evenly when i got them installed. At work right now and didn't have time to bring it back to the shop, any input would help. Thanks.

I would check if the height locking cups didn't loosen up. Also... I read for my coilovers that after driving on them for awhile, you need to jump up the dampening because they are breaking in. Try that first, and see what happens.

I agree with the first part of darkonions post, but even when the dampening gets softer (at a given setting) it should not affect the static ride height at all. On the move it will just allow the suspension to settle guicker, but within reason not farther. As a disclaimer, if all dampening were lost and you hit a hard bump you would travel farther on the compression stroke because the acceleration of the car mass would be greater and have more kinetic energy to depress the spring.

I had another thought tonight, A few years ago riding home on an Italian motorcycle I hammered it hard around a tight turn, the rear end squated down and stayed there. The rebound control in the shock had locked up. The rear end came back up, but very slowly. You may have an internal problem on the shock. Let us know what you find will you.

First check that the preload is set the same on all. The check that the height setting going into the lower mount is the same. If that is all the same and you still have a big difference side to side, then there may be a problem. A small difference is not an issue and should just be adjusted as needed using the height adjustment. Or better yet, have it corner weighted

my guess is that if they are that new, the locking nuts simply came loose you lost the preload which is allowing all the weight to rest on the shock body. let us know what you find tho as i just ordered my set of BC's. In all the forums ive read through the only problems so far have been user error and bad installations. keep us posted!
