Help: '06 WRX wagon front camber bolts slipping
Help: '06 WRX wagon front camber bolts slipping
I have a 2006 WRX wagon with stock suspension except for Whiteline sway bars, end links, and rear strut tower brace. I got new wheels and tires (Bridgestone RE-01R) and got an alignment. I decided to have them install the front camber bolts since they could barely get -1 degree without them. With the new bolts, -1.5 front, -1.0 rear has been a great setup. Just the other day I noticed that the steering felt a little off, and saw that the negative camber was all gone and the bolts had slipped on both sides.
I've seen a few other posts that said the camber bolts can slip, but usually only when you hit a big pothole or something. That hasn't happened, although I have driven the car hard a couple of times since getting the camber bolts. I know the bolts are only a temporary fix until I get camber plates, but does anybody know if there is a way to keep the bolts from slipping? Thanks!

Possiblel they didn't install them correctly or tighten them enough?
Bolts don't have to be a temporary fix. If they're hitting the specs you want then they should be fine. I've had them on the back of my car for like 75,000 miles.
got some MRT/Noltec camber plates I don't need.....

This is actually the second time they've slipped. The first time only the left one slipped, so I brought it back and they fixed it for free, and the same guy admitted that perhaps he hadn't tightened it enough. He assured me it would be fine the second time. It seems like a really good wheel/tire place that specializes in performance mods - Stokes Tire in Santa Monica. The guy who worked on my car even used to work at the Subaru dealer, supposedly.
The first mod I've had done professionally, and the first one to have a problem. Gotta do everything myself...
