Pretty much what he is saying is that he has sleeve coilovers that slip right over the factory struts. Dude if i were you i would go look into getting KYB-AGX's or some Koni's. They have adjustable setups that could really take harshness out of your ride. and making it stiffer when you want.

quick question: for all other coilovers, are they the same where u have to buy struts or use the stock ones?

or do some coilovers come as a whole to replace the struts and springs altogether?

You can't slam your car and expect it to ride nice....it don't work that way. You want ghetto look and no bumps....'Aint happenin'. New struts will just blow out, too.

Yea, tein springs aren't that good. I would get eibach for springs. Whiteline are ok. I ended up selling mine a week after i had them and got tein HA coilovers.

for the struts get koni inserts if you can. They are awesome, and many autoxer swear by them.

The agx's are pretty bad, but are a cheap alternative to legit coilovers.

AGX's are GREAT.....IF you do NOT try to slam your car with them.

I have them on my car and it handles as well or better than an STi and rides better....and that's from an STi owner who drove my car...

'Just' 2"? Too far. You're destroying your stock struts, and the car doesn't even really handle much better that low. AGX won't last any longer that low either (1.4" is the unofficial limit for warranty coverage from KYB). Raise the front half an inch, if not 3/4.
