Getting rid of my DSM and getting a wrx

I had a DSM for a while.. then the compression became low on two cylinders.. I had my heart set on a wrx, just couldnt get it at the time so I got a dsm. I'm planning on heading to a dealership this weekend because I need a car before school starts. I heard that santa cruz subaru was having a clearance, are they? Do you guys recommend any certain dealerships.. except stevens creek of course :P

Money is always an issue, consider a used WRX, there are a lot of them.

Big thumbs up for Santa Cruz Subaru, they really do a good job and the price is very fair.

+1 for Santa Cruz. Great prices, great customer for life offer, and great service. Just a little far from Fremont, but compaired to all the other dealerships I've been to, definately the best.

If you are considering used and on a tight budget, consider the WRX I have for sale

https://www.i-club.com/forums/norcal-classifieds-96/2002-mbp-wrx-sale-%2412-000-firm-108801/

I can't sell it before Sept 7th as I still need it before I go to New York

For sure. Buying my '03 WRX at Santa Cruz was easier than keeping out of boost on the way back up 17. Those guys are great.

if you buy new, I would highly recommend Santa Cruz. Ask for Bruce(was in service but wanted to try sales out). They do not bullshiit you on price, their customer service is great, and free oil changes kick ***.

The only complaints I have heard about Santa Cruz is when you need to get something covered under warranty, they usually come back and say they can not reproduce.
All you have to do is say "I want the mechanics to take a ride with me so I can show them exactly what I am talking about" and its a done deal.

Good luck man, hope to see you in a suby you will love driving!

btw, if you can get the 06 design to grow on you, 2.5L is waaaay nicer then the 2.0L. 2.5L has a ton more low end power and pretty much no turbo lag. drive both if you can.
