I've got a 93 Impreza L and I replaced one for $70 (cost of part) and it took maybe 45 mins to an hour to put it in. No special tools needed, really, but it helps if you've done this sort of thing before.

If you are using SS brake lines, it might be them. If you did not install the support bracket properly, they would be touching the inside of the wheel (wheel weights) during cornering.
did you change or reconfigure your struts? IF so make sure your top hats are straight because that would cause the springs to bind when turning, if they are staright make sure they are put together correctly. When you turn they are binding then popping
hm my problem seems have gotten worse. the clicking sound is now really loud and clicks when i go either forward, right , left. havent checked out reverse yet but im sure it would click at the same time as well.
