Decent question about rubbing

Ok, I have a 98 Impreza 2.2L, all stock(height). When I turn the wheel almost all the way to the left, it sounds like my tire is grinding on something. I have 215/40/17 Kumho Ecsta tires around my enkei's. Anybody had any problems like this?

did it start after you put the wheel and tires on? If so, see what its rubbing on, you may need a spacer. Otherwise there is a more serious problem.

i had 'em in my car: h&r aluminum spacers... they heat up, expand, and can back out lug nuts

If your car is indeed rubbing, get it fixed. Remember, too much rubbing can cause blindness.....

that tire should be fine I run that with almost 2" lowering and no rub at all. I have the kumho 215-45-17 which is wider and taller.

what is the wheel size and offset? Mine is 7X17 with -53 offset.

if it is less than -49 offset you will rub on the outside.

what is the camber settings? if to far negitive it will rub too.
