The circled area in the pic shows where the shim needs to be.

Ah, you should have just said "Ask Mike Egan" Uncle Scotty. I usually see him every couple weeks at the Sacramento i-Club meet. Anyways, here's a bit of good news for a minority of the modding population, including myself:

Lucky me.

Supposably...the bracket was re-deseigned for the WRX....I think there was even post by somebody at MRT that said something about just that, here a while ago......

kinda reviving a dead thread here, but it's not that old so please dont kill me!

since this was designed for a GC8 will it be an equal PITA to install? and is it really worth it???

thanks!

Reviving a thread is always better than asking without searching, so don't stress.

From what I can tell, you're unlikely to have any easier a time with this install than Mike or Scotty did.

Yeah...do everything else first...then if you still think ya need more and are into a bit of creative bad language, then go for it...

To do the install right, it really is a PITA.
Would I do it again...???
Maybe, if I got really bored and got sick of seeing the kit, that I already paid for, laying around and there was nothing on TV and the gf was gone and I didn't feel like a nap and....
