brake line/strut issue

i was eyeing up swapping the struts on my 95 sedan (BD right??). There is a thin brake line (ABS Line???) that is bolted to the body by 2 bolts.. This is not a problem. There is another larger brake line that is attached to the strut. The metal piece that is welded to the strut looks like the rubber hose goes through the center... So my question is how do you get that brake line off?? does it have to be cut or replaced?? I can't see how it pulls off of that metal holder/clip. Thanks, Tim

To avoid having to remove the line from the caliper, cut through the bracket to get the line out.
