Unhappy Advantage to purchasing rear ladder bar. HELP!

I'm rebuilding my 93 Impreza again and looking into working on the suspension. I came across a deal on a rear ladder bar for my car, but don't know the advantage to puchasing it. Could someone help me out?

what's a rear ladder bar? if it's similar to the cusco lower arm bar it will put you in a crazy modified class in auto-x.

Ok, after doing a bit of reading I'm seeing that ladder bars are a way to strengthen your suspension. Along with that it makes sure that the axle doesn't rip apart.. See a little research does help. If anyone has more information on ladder bars, please let me know.
