2008 2.5i impreza suspension help...

But i had a quick question to everyone that has lowering springs or any kind of springs for their 2.5i impreza in general or even for the 2008 model 2.5i. So i ordered my Cobb Sport Springs a few months ago...
http://www.rallitek.com/cospsp20wrxi.html and i heard my uncle's friend owned an auto shop and they were REALLY close friends and thought id get the hook up to install em. i personally talk to the owner and he told me that "I would usually install springs for anyone else because he doesnt know them but since i own a 2.5 AWD and the 2.5i model suspension isnt independent like the STi and and the supension isnt meant to support the car, he wouldnt do it and he told me because his best friend is my uncle and he didnt want the car to get messed up"

is there any truth to this?? should i keep my suspension stock and suffer the hideous body roll that it has or what should i really do?

Your Impreza has independent suspension like the WRX and STi models, but is softer sprung and has shocks and struts that are calibrated to match the factory springs. I don't really understand the shop owner's remarks. Why don't you ask him to take a look underneath your car and then explain why he can't install the springs. Also, you might consider getting some stiffer shocks and struts to go with the Cobb spring set. They are often necessary when going to stiffer springs to control suspension movement unless Cobb specifically calibrated the springs to work with the factory struts.
