04 Impreza Outback strut question

Sup guys, I got my dad registered on here but he wants me to ask you guys first.

He's got a 04 Impreza Outback and needs struts bad. Just had rear wheel bearings and brakes done. Now he wants to lower her a bit and but some different struts in.

Now the question is, will struts for a standard wagon or WRX wagon fit on a Outback wagon? Or is he limited to what He can find for the outback? He definately doesnt want stock, and doesn't want to get inserts like Koni's. I told him Tokiko Blues would be best with Eibach springs.

So will other wagon struts (stand. impreza or WRX) fit on a wagon? Or will he have to go with KYB struts that say they are for the OUTBACK ONLY?

Thanks!
-Matt

Impreza Wagon stuff will bolt in, that's all the car is but with a 1" lift from the suspension anyways.
