you need more than $350 unless you get really really lucky and score some free or almost free stuff. Just springs are going to run you anywhere from 200 to 350.

What you want is going to run a little more then 350 unless you can install the springs yourself. The springs range from 150-300, 150 for install, 40 for camber bolts, 70 for allignment to correct ugly negative camber. I went with Tein-S springs and couldn't be happier.

What width and offset are you planning on going with? I have an 02 WRX and I installed SPT (Eibach) springs and they cost around $275 (I think the Eibach pro kit is cheaper and close to the same setup). Eibach makes great springs and my SPT's are stiffer than stock but have a smoother ride than most. These springs drop the front 1.4" and the rear 1.2" and since the drop is less than 1.5" they work better than most with factory struts. I had to buy a bolt kit because the rear was at -2 (factory rear -1.5). The front has factory camber bolts so that wont be an issue. I have so3's and I run more - camber than the stock spec's and have no wear issues. As long as you keep the toe at 0 and rotate accordint to wear you shouldnt have any problems with more - camber as long as you dont get too crazy with it. Adding - camber to the front will help with understeer. The install is pretty easy even for a rookie and if you drop the car you should have it alligned no matter what springs you put on it.

Good luck.

just get some eibach or prodrive springs, rent a spring compressor and install it yourself.
