It seems logical to me (and hopefully to SOA) that they would have similar success with an STi wagon as with the WRX wagon at launch. I don't know the exact figures, but I'm guessing sales of the wagon are roughly 35-45% of the total for the WRX? I would expect that 25% of STi buyers would take a wagon, which is about 1000 cars (for now) of the STi production. I know, Subaru says that there will be 3k STis made, but come on- they said there would be 5000 '02 WRXs and there ended up being 14,000. And small production runs are not new to Subaru- they made only a handful of the RS each year.

Hey goatboy, search for my old thread in the STi countdown section for idle chatter regarding the STi wagon
EDIT: Oh wait, the STi countdown section got taken down... well just run a generalized search for my thread
