OK, before I get flamed about checking my manual, the car didn't come with one and the dealer doesn't have any 03 manuals. What is the paint warranty on the vehicle? I have 75000kms on my car and noted the passenger door edge by the B pillar the clearcoat is peeling. About 4-6 inches on the edge. Figured I'd ask first before it goeds in to the dealer on mon for 75000kms service. Thx in advance.

Note that this is not a complete warranty document, the only thing relevant it mentions is rust perforation. Also this applies to SOA, not Canada. If you want the Canadian specific warranty you should ask in the Canada forum.
However I'd think that as long as the area where the paint is peeling is 100% original and has not been damaged or repainted it should be covered.

 

peeling clearcoat should be covered...you shouldn't have to wait until it rusts!

 

Peeling clearcoat?......sounds like your car was in an accident.

what is not covered- damage due to abuse, road debris(chipped paint)
abuse, or lack of "proper care".

thx for the info. It was a used car I bought from the dealership last year. I asked repeatedly before bought and was told not in any accident. Be deffinetly bringing it to the dealers attention. Being the back door edge it's almost impossible to be stone chips, and no evidence to support that, unlike my hood. The only part thats been repainted was the front bumper.
