Would you buy a wrx with over 100K on it?
I was looking at craigs list and found an 02 wrx wagon.
sounds like a good/ well maintained car. but it still has over 100k on it.
would you buy it, or look for something with lower miles?

personally i would look for one that has lower miles. Ive seen 02-03 wrx around the 13k-14k price range. If 9k is your budget then i would consider it.
Another thing i would consider before buying it is Who is the owner of the car, Adult or Teen. Also if there are any signs of modifications on the car that they took off before selling it.

I'd look for one with less miles depending on your plans. But there are good 100k cars out there that haven't been driven and maintained by juveniles. If you opt for a car with 70k or more on it I'd plan on having to do some maintanance within a year to a year and a half. Get with with over 100k on it get it's maint. records or expect to do major repairs within the year.
Take for example my car...it has 106k on it and it'll probably be running long after a lot of cars you see on here with half that. It has new: timing belt, water pump, thermostat, power steering pump, turbo, clutch, flywheel, ss clutch line, etc.
All it needs is new spark plugs and it has the 100k service done on it. It's been correctly and strictly maintained according to SOA standards 90% by the dealership. The rest by me or GST.
I'd expect my car to make it without any major maint. for another 60,000. Maybe more. At which point you'd probably be expecting to put a new motor in any WRX. Rarely do they hit 200plus. I think mine could if it is continued the way it is for maint.
So they are out there.
honestly...be careful with any wrx you get used. I'd get one outside of any subaru tuner site if possible unless you want one with mods.
Mine might be for sale soon..haa. Got to get the wife's car paid off.
