Windshield Washer Weakness Mystery??
About 3 months ago, my windshield washers/sprayers were only hitting the bottom third of the windshield, and then became just a slight trickle on the hood, not spraying at all. First, I thought it was the pump; I have a two-pump setup in my tank, the other pump being for the intercooler sprayer. However, switching pumps did not solve the problem, the streams were still just dribbles. So, one culprit down - the pump works fine.
Next, I thought it was sediment/clogs in the tubes. So I disconnected the tubes at 2 points each and ran the washers with the button - BIG stream of windshield fluid gushing out of each tube, so #2 culprit down - no clogs in the rubber tubes.
Finally, I popped both windshield spray nozzles out of the hood with a slight squeeze, and dunked them both in a cup of Simple Green Max overnight (I can't think of another cleaner to use that wouldn't eat the rubber base). I rinsed them with hot water, blew through them a few times (definitely could feel some flow) and then reinstalled them.
Well, if that had worked, I wouldn't be posting here - I still get nothing but a trickle! And from BOTH identical pumps! So this is a really puzzling issue. My only guess now is that the actual electrical current that is running the pump has become weaker somehow, perhaps a bad fuse? I have no other identifiable electrical issues... Any guesses?

are you sure you lines are being crimped when you close the hood? Sounds stupid, but thats what ussually cause stuff like this...
And if you take a needle you can redirect the sprayers up a little bit to hit the middle of the windshield

I tested with the hood up, and I traced the lines all the way back to under the tank and it isn't crimped or being held down by a zip tie. Like I said, when the lines aren't connected to the nozzles, the fluid gushes out -- just not at enough pressure, it seems to actually get to spray velocity... thanks for your help so far! If I can figure out the part# I am going to order some new nozzles anyway, mine (02 WRX) are pretty faded.
