Break in Torture and Windshield Wiper Washer Problem
The 1000 mile break in is going to kill me. I drove 30 miles last night to go pick up a pizza. I could have walked next door and picked one up. I'm at 280, only 720 more to go.
Quick question, I went to wash my windshield last night and the wipers work fine but no washer fluid. The washer fluid tank is full, but for some reason, no water to the windshield. Any suggestions. I would run back to the dealer, but they are 90 miles away. I guess I can go to a closer dealer, but I can aleady hear the "should have bought it from us" line. Thanks.

Do you hear the washer motor going? If so then maybe it's just a kinked or clogged line. You can check them pretty easily. But if you drive to that dealer who is 90 miles away at least youll tack on another 200 or so miles on the break in.

I was just wondering, on the wiper topic, my water jets for the windshield wipers seem to shoot high. It seems like they are aimed at the top of the windshield and everytime i use the spray some of the water goes over my car and lands on the rear windshield. Is this normal?

I also noticed that the sprayers seem to overshoot the car winshield entirely, often getting the TRUNK LID of the car wet, which is stupid. The problem isn't AIM, it is the raw PSI. My wife's comment:
"Well, when you said it was a turbo, you didn't mention that they turbocharged the WINDSHIELD WASHER JETS..."

Does your washer fluid fly over the windshield at highway speeds? On my GT Mustang, the wiper fluid is aimed pretty high. When sitting still, most of the fluid hits the top of the windshield. when doing about 80 it hits right in the middle. Maybe you just need to get it up to speed before you go cleaning the bug guts off. ]
