wheel squeal

i have an 04 wrx, 2000 miles, stock 16's. in hard corners i hear a high pitched ringing noise from the wheels (not tire screech or traction break). i notice it in right turns mostly. any thoughts on what it could be?

I've got the same problem with my 2004 with 500 miles. I'm taking it to Subaru tomorrow to have them look at it. I'll let you know what they tell me.

My problem ended up being the dust shield on the back of the rotor was rubbing some of the brake components. That's what made the noise.

did you notice the noise in turns only or all of the time?

I only noticed it in right turns but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. I think it was just louder in right turns enough for me to notice.
