what to help better my Bad MPG

I have an 93 impreza L FWD auto. The car was not used much for about 6 months, maybe once a week. Recently when i returned from school i have been driving it. I only get about 210 miles on a take of gas. Thats less then 20mpg on a 11 gallon take. What the heck. I am not an eratic driver how ever i do gas it hard once in a while to move in and out of traffic. Mostly city driving. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do or what could be wrong?

Tune up maybe. Air filter, Oil and Filter, Fuel Filter, spark plugs and wires. That generally helps to improve gas mileage.

Air pressure in tires is the leading cause of low MPG. As suggested, tune ups help. Of course, the city driving doesn't help. Try to keep the revs below 3k.
