STI vs EVO

STi All The Way...
For the money that I'd pay, I'd pick the STi anyday.
For the looks, hands down the STi looks much better than the EVO-8. I love the way the STi's subtle bumper, not too ricey like the EVO-8 with its big mouth wide open. The EVO-8 seems too look much alike the ordinary Lancers out there with the exception of the big spoiler. Personally, I think those gold BBS wheels are just exotic.
Performance wise, both cars have identical numbers. Again, the STi would be my choice simply for its 6-speed tranny & 2.5L motor. Don't get me wrong but the EVO-8 motor is also just as strong and has alot of aftermarket potential.
One thing I don't like about the STi's are the prices for its aftermarket tuning products. Ridiculously overpriced if you ask me. I have a regular WRX now and no aftermarket items I bought are less than $250.00.
These are just my preferences. Some people might think different u know.

From: Are you too one of the few still living the past? Well I can change that! With a simple wicket. Yes, my friend, a wicket. PM for details.
Car Info: No car right now....sob.
STi will make a beter Daily Driver than the EVo, which throws you around like a 'Vette. I would go with the STi because of Subaru's reliability and because Mitsu will be dead in 2 years. That, and the STi is fastaaaaaaarrrr!

i think there is enough technical info out there.
i recently met 2 employeees of subaru from japan. and they
said that mitsubishi is a less desired car there. and in terms of quality and
drive they prefer subaru more. my friend from japan says the same thing. as good as the evo/MR is . . . they still take a backseat to subaru... he says no matter what mitsubishi does they are still considered second rate in japan.
now bring that to the u.s. i'm sure opinions are completely different. for some reason i see more exposure to the media leaning towards the mitsubishi.
for that, i cannot explain. i beleive the subaru to be a much better engineered and more superior in overall quality.

Evo has more Upgrade potential..
Shiv Pathak won 1st in Class with his Stage 2 Evo (550 hp)in Car and Drivers Lap of America. His car came in 5th overall competing with the Vipers and Porsches, and actually had the best 1/4 mile time of 12.2@119mph wimping it off the line.

see lap of America
Shiv has also done several dyno contests, and the Evo is a Horsepower Beast besting every STi that competed.
The Sti 2.5 doesn't have the tuner developement yet, but it will. Shiv also has kits for the STi and WRX just not as impressive as the Evo on the Dyno... Yet.

P.S. Mitsubishi will be around a long time, if you think the EVO is bad just hope and pray Dodge doesn't get whats going around the rumor mill... with the latest deal with them and Mitsubishi, Dodge will have their own version of the EVO
