Unhappy Slow crank at start - Spkplug/battery/Starter?

I just got a 120Kmiles 2.5rs the engine runs fine and nothing seems to be wrong with it except when everytime I start my car by turning the key the engine start(turn over, crank) every slowly. Sometimes it's so slow the car won't even start.

It's goes something like this.....Key in the car ....I turn the key......CRANK........crank..................Crank ..............................crank............... ............................Crank and then car start..

Some time it just stop making any noise and I have to turn the key for the 2nd or 3rd time.

At 1st my idiot mechanic told me it's the battery so I change it but I still have the same problem. Now I'm just wondering if it's the starter? Sparkplugs? or just some motor is going bad which is a bad thing cause I spent $7000 on it.
