RS into an STI

How much money would it take to upgrade the engine, tranny, suspension of an 2002 RS to compete against an STI? Even if you didn't have to pay for labor is it worth it?

04 sti versus homemade one-

the pride in doing it i can imagine would be priceless-
the hours spent making sure your car is reliable- thats another issue- a lot of rs's are faster than sti's but most of those guys are mechanically gifted in some form or fashion- at least thats what i've seen
me personally- i'd rather just cheat and buy one thats already made and has a warranty too!
