Question from a Newbie...

Hello all,

I purchased an 02 WRX no longer than a month ago and seem to be experiencing a problem with the auto dimming mirror.
It was fine when I purchased the car until my smartass friend started messing with the zone settings for the digital compass. Now it only reads south and southeast.

Before I go in for warranty, I just wanted to make sure if it's actually malfunctioning or if it's just miscalibrated.

Anyone run into this b4?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like it's just miscalibrated now. Maybe a dealer service rep can tell you how to reset it over the phone. Also try to send ckevin on nasioc a PM, he's the uber-mechanic among Subaru guys.

plz look at ur owners manual-it shows you how to set the zone for what area you live in-holding the right side button will get you to the zone setting -set to correct number for where you live-then afer that a (CAL) will appear in the left side-driving in a slow circle a couple times will calibrate it.or just drive for awhile.very easy to do.
