if your parking brake is fully release you might have a braking system problem.

I have the same issue sometimes as well. Check your Brake fluid levels. It could be that it's low and the sensor is telling you to check it out. It could be a bunch of things. If you had time, I'd switch to SS brake lines and bleed your brakes and add new fluid if it hasn't been done recently. At least then you can rule out fluid levels.

It could also be your brake cable as stated above by AzN121184. I'm about to drop an 05 sti' interior into my Bugeye so I'll have to swap the brake cable sides anyways.

Goodluck, I'll let you know if I can figure out a quick way to fix it.
