I have a 02 WRX with 29,000 and it looks like hammered dogs#!t. I have taken out the fog lights and put STi covers (solid ones) on, to protect the foglights for they are not cheap! I have a clear bra too but only on the upper half of the front end. New paint couldn't hurt

When I got my Subaru new they told me not to wash it for a month because the paint needed to dry. So I let it get really dirty and the paint doesn't seem to chip very easy now. Just wondering if people experiencing the problem washed their car right away? It would be intresting to know if their was any truth to this.

Given that new cars have spent some time between the factory to your hands (say at least a couple weeks on a container ship, sitting at the port, on a train or truck, for example), I'm guessing the paint has had enough time to cure.
