Question Overheating problem (hairline crack at top of radiator)

So I'm on my way to work this morning and my car is overhearting. I turn around to go back home (luckily i wasn't that far)

I noticed that there was a a hairline crack on the top of my radiator. It was bubbling and leaking when i popped the hood. Is there any suggestions on how to fix it?

Replace radiator and thermostat. I got a really nice rad. for a good price from GST for my '90 Leggy. No plastic end tanks. While you're at it do a leakdown to make sure you don't have a head gasket problem.

^ What he said, there is no other good way at fixing that leak besides buying a new one and while you're in there its a really good idea to just replace the thermo. Depending on how many miles you have on your car, check out your rad hoses to make sure everything looks kosher there.

replacement is the best way to go

sometimes you can get a few miles out of it

you have to get a soldering iron and melt the part where it is leaking
you havea 20% chance that will work
its only a band aide if it works

How much did GST charge you for a new rad?

It wasn't too much. IMO it was a nicer core than the cheapo OEM.
