Hi there everyone!
Just a few newbie questions.
When is the suggested/proper time to go have an oil change done for a '02 Subaru Impreza WRX?
When is the suggested/proper time to go have a tune up done for a '02 Subaru Impreza WRX?
Are there any other services that are necessary/recommended that I should do for my '02 Subaru Impreza WRX?
*Services are going to be done by a Subaru dealership that is. Therefore, I need to know so I don't harm my car and kill the lifepsan.
Thanks and please tell me!

Lots of cars these days are going longer before an oil change. Check your manual, read the little footnotes about extreme driving conditions and see if you apply, then follow the manual. I don't trust it completely so I use synthetic and do mine every 7500 miles w/ a subie filter.
It is important that you read the recommended maint sched for the turbo model. Even dealers are trying to jack me once in a while and charge $100 to change spark plugs at 30kmi when the maint manual says 60k.

If you do your own oil changes, and will definately recommend getting the factory filter. There is a new factory filter specifically for all the turbo engines, whichs is a bit more expensive, ofcourse, but it helps maintain oil pressure on the turbo.
If anyone is interested, just call your local dealer and ask, or if you want I can post the part number on a later visit.
As for tuning up the car, you don't need to replace the plugs until 60k miles. If you have the factory air filter is good for about 15k miles, and you should service the tranny and the diffs about every 30k, and fuel filter also at 30k along with the coolant.
And one important item, which a lot of people are not aware is the a/c cabin filter. Helps greatly with odors inside the passenger cabin. It should be replace once a year or about every 15k miles. It works similar to the air filters used on home a/c systems.
