1.8???
ok maybe this should be in the proformance section but.... here it is. i was surfing and i love the 97 front end, in fact i found a gorgeous green one for sale and it's a 5-speed and it's in my price range and not to aweful far away (aka under 600 miles) anyway it only has 80 some k miles on it and they are asking a great price. problem is it's a brighton. seriously are they THAT SLOW? i mean i don't really need it to be fast i have my eclipse turbo for that, but 0-60 in 11.1? i could do better on foot. tell me this is not true.... i mean it's all wheel drive, and only 2600 lbs.... let me know please, i love the car, but i'm not sure i could stand that. i mean my crx (when stock) was slow and it did it in 8.2 secs. i'm not saying it needs to be as fast as the rex, only... my moms concord could beat that!

Don't know if you are still looking but I have an 00 2.5 RS 165hp and the torque to match at 3500 RPM's. It's a really fun car, heavier yes, but you gotta love the look. I wish I had a pic to send you but my harddrive crashed... no more pics till nice weather.
It's a sweet car, handles well and is one of the most reliable things I have ever owned.
Did I mention it's pretty easy to mod the engine... it's amazing the power you can get with no turbo. (no mods as yet, buit I do the research and drool, LOL)
Have fun, I can give you more specs if ya like. Let me know!
