Need help bleeding my 2006 wrx brakes

Can anyone tell me what is the proper way to bleed the brakes on a 2006 wrx? I took it to a shop and payed them $60 to bleed my brakes and no luck. They told me that my abs system is bad and i need to take it to a dealer so they can scan the car. So how do you bleed the brakes? Does the car have to be on? Do you bleed the font first? Please help me out. Thanks
