Set it to defrost (the a/c will auto engage) and outside air (not recirc).

I get frost on the INSIDE of my windshield. This is not uncommon where I live though. Most cars that dont have a really good seal from the outside have this problem in alaska. The WRX does not seal well, feel by the parking brake and you will feel outside air, especially noticeable in extreme cold temperatures. Also the windows dont seal that well.

Take a spray bottle and mix dish washing detergent with water and spray on the interior window surface, just as you would for a motorcycle helmet to eliminate fogging. This should help some. I have the same thing to occur on a routine basis and I run the defrost with the a/c till I can clean the windows as mentioned.

Yeah - as has been said, make sure your defrost is set to on and that you have the vents set to bring in fresh air. That should take care of it.
