Impreza RS advice?
Hi there,
I am thinking about buying an Impreza RS (2.5 litre engine, 1 down from the WRX) and i am wondering if anybody has any advice or experience with these cars. I would probably get a manual. Also, could you tell me how this car would compare with a Mazda SP23 on performance and QAULITY? I'm in Australia so the model names might be a bit different.
Thanks in advance

I have a 00 RS with 60k no issues, like really no issues, still has original break pads clutch. The only thing I have done is scheduled maintenance and tires (once) great car, get the automatic, the RS is not a high performance car and the 4EAT is a great transmission I wish mine was an auto

02 Rs
I have a 2002 RS.. 34k miles no problems.. a handful of random mods. 5 Speed, wish it had 6.. I have no idea why anyone would get this car or a WRX in auto.. just my opinion.. I also wanted a WRX, but couldn't afford it at the time.. I really wish I bought one because with the amount of mods I have on my car now and later, I would have spent enough to get me that WRX.. yeah.. gas is expensive and insurance was twice as well. The RS rocks in 1st and 2nd gear.. love the low end torque. Regrets: I wish I had a pre 02.. why? Lighter, better looking body, LSD, and turbo'ing that beast is fesible vs the 02 and above.. but I don;t have a clue why. Whatever subie you get, you'll love it.. bye.
