Important WRX Recall

I'm not sure if anyone here is aware of this and I did a search to see if it was posted. I received a call from my good friend at Carr Subaru. He had mentioned that they have sent out several letters concerning some recalls. However, the names and address of all of the customers do not match up anymore and they really want to get the word out about these two recalls. Even if you don't go to Carr Subaru, they are still concerned because these a "Safety" related. If you would like to check your car to see if it's on the recall list, you can email your VIN to: chbradshaw@carrauto.com

Here are the bullitens that went out:

Dear Valued Customer:

This letter is to inform you that a manufacturer’s recall exists on your Subaru. Subaru of America has sent out recall notices to all of the cars affected with this problem and your name has been given to us to follow up on because the recall has not been completed.

Your car still shows a recall on the CRUISE CONTROL. It has been determined that the cruise control cable could come out of its track and cause the throttle to remain open and not return to idle. We will repair this item by installing a retaining clip on the cable. We would like to get your car in to perform this recall; there is no cost to you. Subaru will cover all costs associated with this repair.

It is important that you have this repair done on your vehicle as it can cause affect the throttle position and could cause unexpected acceleration.
You may call us at 503-520-4102 and schedule an appointment today.

We hope to hear from you soon and help you resolve this issue.

Dear Valued Customer:

This letter is to inform you that a manufacturer’s recall exists on your Subaru. Subaru of America has sent out recall notices to all of the cars affected with this problem and your name has been given to us to follow up on because the recall has not been completed.

Your car still shows a recall on the FRONT DRIVERS SEAT ASSEMBLY. We would like to get your car in to perform this recall for you. We will install an improved bolt assembly. There is no cost to you. Subaru will cover all costs associated with this repair.

It is important that you have this recall done as soon as possible. If the bolt were to loosen due to stress caused by normal movement there is a possibility the seat could separate from the slide in a collision, which could pose a hazard. You may call us at 503-520-4102 and schedule an appointment today.

We hope to hear from you soon and help you resolve this issue.

abs recall... read the post. Aparently there are a lot of people out there that STILL haven't had it done. Also, it has to do with the "front seat bolts" and the "cruise control". there are two recalls...

Red face New ECU

I recently had all my warranty work completed. The new ECU seems to help with braking a little. Initial bite is stronger in braking. Has anyone else experienced the same results?
