Note to all Rxers: Subara is not located in Scottsdale, AZ, where it is always (virtually) warm dry. It is in JAPAN, where the winters can be fierce and garages take up living space. My suggestion: yes, leave it with a full tank of gas, and when you first start it, let it run for 10-15 minutes. You may also hear some brake noise (especially from the rears) because of rust on the rotors. This will be gone after a stop or two. When you drive away, go easy, let everything come up to operating temperature, and you'll be good to go. If you're going to be away for a REALLY long time, check around for a car storage depot, or a specialist who preps cars for marine shipment. But for a week or two (probably even three) you should have no worries.

Have fun on the beach.

i left my car outside in the winter for 6 months cause i didnt have the money to register it, at the time it had bad oil in it that needed changing...bad coolant...probably bad gas too, 6 months without being started...come summer when i had a job i started it up, it ran just fine and actualy passed inspection, im sure an impreza can go years without being started, and then start up without much fuss, assuming the battery is fine
