How much should I expect to get?

I have a 2003 WRB WRX with only 9500 miles in perfect condition that I have to get rid of due to insurance reasons. Mods are JDM fender/side marker kit, avital 2200 alarm, all doors dynamated, and perrin turbo inlet. The KBB comes to about 21,000 but what seems to be a fair asking price? Anyone try trading theirs in and how much they get for them?carmax?dealer? Thanks for any help Brian

Stay away from dealers unless your desperate. I have a feeling you'd get about 15-17k from a dealer.

You may be able to get 18-19k as a rough guesstimate from just putting it in an ad.

I was offered 18,500 by a friend but I still owe about 20,000. Would you take it or try to get more?

Honestly it damn near impossible to break even on the loans from a new car the curve starts to deminsh less quickly after say about 3-4 years where you can usually catch up.

18.5k definitely sounds reasonable but if you want to break even you may consider one of those plans where you get a take over payment and trade cars.

Get a second opinion please too.
