Hello friends, I have recently purchased a 97 impreza Sport and am having major problems with the elctrical systems.

Everything worked fine until I put a new battery in the wireless door opener.

The next day, the car would not start, the battery was dead,
after I got a jump, I descovered that the tail lights wouldnt work, the emergency blinkers seemed to be blinking although the parking lights were out, the AC relay was clicking, the fan for the engine comes on, and the blinker lights wont work.

I took it to the shop and the tech dissconected the door opener, but the AC still clicks, and now the signal lights wont work. He wants me to leave it with him overnight but I cant afford 90 bucks an hour.

One other piece of info, the Key is, and has been stuck in the ignition.

If anyone has a CLUE as what may be going on, I would be MOST grateful.

Well after 350 bucks,
It turns out that the Hazzard Lights had been unplugged, and the ECM was plugged into diagnotstic mode. The mechanic I took it to before, must have either sabbataged it, or didnt know what he was doing.
He took 145 bucks to unplug the wireless entry system, which had been apparhently stuck in the open position, causing the parking lights to blink, relays click, ect.
Just thought Id let you know.
