NEED HELP: gas smell inside car

Hey everyone. Have a problem that has stumped both me and one mechanic over the last year.

I have a 2002 WRX sedan. During the winter, when the weather is colder than 50 degrees, I have a very strong gasoline smell inside the cabin. It only happens during the winter. It happened last winter when I took it into a mechanic. He couldn't find anything wrong with it. It was late in the season so it soon warmed up and the smell went away. Unfortunately, now that it's cold again, the smell has come back. The car itself still runs great. I don't seem to be loosing any MPG during the winter, so I don't think there is a big leak or anything.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? I'm kind of worried since it's gas and all so as you can imagine, I would like to get this fixed soon.

Thanks everyone in advance!!

Subaru has issued a TSB for this problem. Check out this thread:
