i don't have an STi, but i agree with the OP -- the blue seats are a bit too "racey" for me. if only they offer black STi seats, that would be dope.

i always thought the sti blue seats looked like bad seat covers you could find at autozone. thats just my opinion of course, i know some folks dig em' and thats cool too. if i had an sti, i am pretty sure i would look into a swap for maybe some all black 05 seats.

I am just glad they obviously didnt spend too much time on the interior. All the rest of the time they spent it designing one of the best sport compact cars on the market for the price. I am all for the blue seats. I have a silver sti. The blue seats go perfect. All black would get way to hot anyways. Anybody ever had all black interior??? Its like an oven.

+1 Bravo Subaru

It is orginal, and thats what subaru is all about.

I don't like the blue at all, I think it should be available for those who want it, but it shouldn't be the standard. I think the carpet is terrible too. As far as the sti being a sports car, I dissagree. It's an incredicle performance car, but i wouldn't call it a sports car, it just doesn't seem to fit that catagory, to me. I think if you are going to spend that much on a car you should have the option of having a little class. The blue is not at all classy, it may be fun, but not classy. Just my opionion.

isnt it a fun car, not really classy? When i think of classy i think bentley or somethin like that. Sports car and performance car are pretty much the same are they not? But i agree you should be able to pick your color but i dig the blue seats IMO.

STi is not a luxary/classy automobile, its made with pure performance as its # 1 goal.

I don't know, I just think that if i saw that interior on a honda I would say 'that looks terrible' and I think many people would call "rice." I know it's not a luxury car, but I think it looks silly and...immature. I think solid colored seats and normal colored carpet would look a lot more grown up and less...uh...custom project gone wrong. I respect the car and everyones opinion, but that blue would have to go, if I had an sti.

Oh, and I don't consider performance and sports cars the same. It may be just me, but sports cars, muscle cars, super cars, 4 wheelers are all performance cars. They all perform at a hight lever, in their area. I could be convinced that the sti is a sports car, but i wouldn't call it that, s200 and 300z come to mind when i hear sports car.

Well Subaru is coming out with the STi Limited which will be all the go without the show. No wing, no blue interior, black brembos and more... Should be what you are looking for.

I just got an email from Subaru and its for exactly what you said sykosis. The new sti and legacy look really good, if I had the money that's exactly what I would get. I just hope that new lip spoiler hits the market soon, that's going to be a big seller.
