I love the STi but my criticism is the interior. What the hell was subaru thinking only offering the blue seats... You have a nice white or black STi and then you open the door and bam blue seats... Atleast the Spec C has the black seats with the little STi logo on them. IMO subaru should have went with black seats with the STi on them, like if you get the WRB color you can choose the blue seats if you want. What do you guys think?

 

That's sort of a trademark thing Subaru does. Just like gold wheels. You can get dealer optional leather seats, so you can get black.

Yeah I kind of agree though. Blue is nice, but doesn't always go with everything. They should at least offer a comperable seat in black.

yeah I have a WRB 2.5RS but, to me, if it had the STi seats in there and it was another color than blue I think it would match up right. Look at all the JDM ones they all have black seats, the new S204, black seats..

 

I'm just saying I can understand where they are coming from.
With the colors the STi comes in the blue pretty much goes with them all....but what if you want a simple clean look?

I called 2nd dibs BECAUSE I wouldn't mind sitting in some STi blue seats but of course I would love the even swap option

Not true at all. Most seats are blue/black. Some are even full blue and some are black.

STi is an awesome car. Better than most people can wish for. Too good as a matter of fact. I think it is silly to even think about complaing about the seat color. Look at the bigger picture. It's a sports car. Sports cars are meant to be agressive and distinct looking. It is up to you to low profile it if you wish.

I have gotten used to the blue and its kinda cool since only the STI's have this color combo. If black was offered I would have gone with that though. As others have said dont even worry about the color inside and you will love the drive.

 

I totally agree with you. I think the inserts should be the color of the outside of the car UNLESS the car is white. Then maybe go with a solid black, or even with red inserts.....

I love the interior in my WRB STi, but then again, my car is blue so it looks great.

Aside from HAVING TO HAVE the WRB/Gold, my next choice would've been black/gold, but nonetheless, the blue/black interior just didn't look good in the car IMO.

 

can't compare with something that Suby dun have in the state. buy it and import it that's the way to go man.

Anyways, I hate the 06 full Black steering wheel though...the 05 got the silver center cover which makes it more like STI. they all have full black steering now...sad!

 

The '05 has an all-black steering wheel with a "button" in the middle that has an "STi" insignia in it. It's the '04 that has the "painted silver" centerpiece.

I would like the silver center if it didn't look like the cheap painted plastic centerpiece that it is. Subaru was trying to make it look like an aluminum center and miserably failed.
