During startup, after running the car for a little while then shutting off the car for like 5 minutes, my car sometimes doesn't wanna start or it seems like it won't hold the charge when i turn the key. Or sometimes when it's cold, there'll be a grinding noise then the car will start. Could it be the starter?? Maybe i need new spark plugs?? I have a 2001 2.5rs...can anyone help!!!???

 

not the spark plugs ,its the starter.next time it wont turn over.have someone hold the key in the crank position.at the same time tap on the starter lightly and see if it then starts to crank.

I just decided to check this post to see what the outcome was and found my post deleted. I guess you have to be a Subaru certified tech to reply or something. Seems kind of strange to me, but oh well.
I'm just having withdrawls from beer and my WRX, so don't mind me, I've been in the desert since last March and can't wait to hit the mountains when I take my R&R this March.
