crappy windshield wipers on an 05?

i purchased my RS earlier this year and i noticed that the wipers werent working the way they are supposed to and they are loud, as if they were already worn out.

would this be under warranty??

i tried cleaning it, still the same.... i called subaru stevens creek and they said i gotta bring the car in for an app. and they have to look at it, cant i do a walk in?

ha! i have an 05 wrx and i feel you. the ww suck ***, especially on the "downstroke," blurs everything all up. i have a feeling if its not a defect so it won't be covered by the warranty. lmk what happens.

The wipers should be covered under the 3/36 warranty. A number of people have posted about having them replaced.
