sensible decision-

if you guys are strapped for cash, then i think that buying a brand new subaru may not be in your best interest- buying a used one has its financial benefits as the book values drop the most the 1st year.
if its financially possible then just like sonicsuby stated- the key in selling this car
to your parents is the fact that this car is an overall good product- it will hold its value pretty well and its a very safe car-
try going to this site for safety referrences - Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

Car Info: No car right now....sob.
selling point---
-Turbo AWD (It just doesn't get any better than this, handles GREAT in muddy/snowy conditions)
that's what i would use to sell if I was in this boat.

Car Info: gc w/ neons and a wrx that needs neons
if your family is poor, you shouldn't be looking for an 04 wrx. an older rs would be better. the gc8 models are very nice, or you could get the newer ones. get a job and help out with the payments.

above all be as responsible as you can with your car. that is one way to prove you are ready for these types of cars.

i'm gonna be 18 in a couple of days, and i too wanted a wrx when i was 16. don't get one.
1. you can't drive very good yet
2. you'll get in a accident your first year driving
3. you can't handle a wrx
4. you should work your *** off for two years and save money like me and drop a ej20 in a gc8. you'll apreciate your ride alot more when you work for it yourself.
5. insurace will KILL I MEAN KILL YOU!!! I was qouted at 3,500 a year.

i'm not trying to be mean but it's the truth, a 16 year old can't handle a high performance car unless you've been racing previously. I've got 2 years of autox track days, and some fun backroads and i still prolly can't drive a wrx to it's potential, but atleast I know my limits.
