I have a 02 wrx and the clutch is starting to go. Does anybody know if that is covered under powertrain warranty. I bought the car used, but i bought the extended powertrain warranty for 3 yr-36000 miles.

 

Since the clutch is a wear item, I think it's only covered for 12,000 miles. However, if anything in your transmission cause that clutch to wear faster, then it would be covered under the normal or extended warranty. But I might be wrong, good luck.

 

I think you should be covered on the 5/60 standard powertrain warranty?? Anyone??

 

Clutches are only covered under the basic warranty, not powertrain. Unless your extended warranty specifically mentions that it is covered, it isn't.

 

I could have sworn that the clutch is covered under the 5/60?
