Have you been running it hard? That is a lot of oil, but it's not unheard of to burn a couple of quarts on a single hard track day. Have a compression test done. If you're burning it you should be able to smell it. Does it smoke when you start it up/ come to a stop/ let off the throttle and step on it again?

You burned it on the track. Ii don't know how long you have had your subie for, but my advice first and foremost; Top you oil off before running your car hard. On a track day go to full and throw in andother half of a qt. Check it between sessions. The wet sump design allows the boxer to suck up oil like no other. Starve that motor of oil and a gaurantee you'll be replacing it due to rod bearing failure, probably #4.
Side note:
Run a 10/30 all the time and on track days don't be affraid to run a 10/40 or even 0/40
