bas gas millage
idk if its just me but ive noticed that my 04 wrx is spending tons of gas!! took a 15min. drive on highway...(Speeding) but never past like 105mph.... and idowned a quarter tank.. friend with civic freaked!! i think its spending more gas thn my dads 07 f-150!!! :/

The higher the speed, the more fuel the engine uses. Greater wind resistance is the reason. The engine must produce more power to overcome resistance and more power requires more fuel. Above posted freeway speed limits, the power requirement increases exponentially rather than in a linear way. That's why vehicles at the Bonneville Salt Flats need so much top end horsepower. They might need an additional 50 horsepower just to increase speed from 200 mph to 220 mph.
If fuel economy is important to you, slow down and try to maintain a constant vehicle speed rather than getting hard on the throttle to pass slower traffic as quickly as possible.

doing 105 on a public road is deserving of losing your car
especially when I pay so damn much for my insurance
might be a little harsh, but oh well. dont drive 105 and you will get good mileage. I have 300whp/300ft lb torque and average about 22mpg combined with spirited driving.
