For all you Oil Changers
I find it helpfull to occasionaly revive certain subjects for all the new members who join our little club.
These are those little things that don't produce big HP gains but deserve a looking into by any new enthusiast because they take care of the "Aw S@#$" and "God Da#$@#" factors which occassionaly come up.
Things like Laminex films to protect your lights from rock gremlins and of course for all you who are changing your own oil out there these deserve a serious looking into...

Great little investment, built nicely and do a fantastic job.
Got one for all the cars. If your worried about dumping your oil by mistake , don't the things are realy secure, but if you want you can even double secure them by using a spring steel hose clamp to further secure the valve per their instructions.

I wish they would get something like this to work w/ our boxter motors. Then we only have to deal with the oil in our filters!

Oil Extractor
Some people say those oil extractors aren't so good for your car. Clean oil changes for your pants, yes. The thought is that you aren't getting all the oil or any heavier material at the bottom of the oil pan out. Whereas when using the drain plug you know it's flowing and you get more oil out.

Clarification
My previous post was referring to the Griot's Garage oil extractor, not the fumoto valve (or whatever it's called). I can't see any problem with the valve. It's the extractor that may leave oil and stuff from the bottom of the pan.

These are good questions to bring up, no confusion whatsoever. So far mine seems to be working fine but only time and member input is the real deciding factor for a lot of these little time savers.
