Excessive lane changers-- anyone?
Is it against the law to change lanes a lot? Not crazy and fast changes but let's say over a course of 10 miles on the freeway, you move around cars with plenty of space between cars.
Oh, and let's say they're going 65mph and you're passing people up and changing lanes at 70mph, hypothetically.

I had a Yolo county sheriff pull me over for "excessive lane changes".
After asking him for the CVC #, he let me go.
Ever drive on the autobahn?
The fast lane is for passing only; after you pass a slower vehicle, you back into the #2 lane.
So in 10 miles, under the right conditions, you'll make lot's of lane changes.

Reason I'm asking is I always need to be the first car at the light, get really angry when I'm behind slow drivers and people that just don't move when you're coming up behind them.
Oh, and I don't use my turn signals. I don't cut people off though, but I do change lanes A LOT.

In traffic I will, just in case. But when there is ample space, I don't because I feel that I'm so far that it wouldn't matter if I did or not.
I need to start using them though, just in case.

Prolly no way to really enforce such a thing and excessive use of such could fall under a different category.
I wish there were something you could do when people do stupid things but again - there would be no way to weed out the true vs false calls. This morning some jackass in a convertible 911 was parked in the middle of Woodside road and pulled out right in front of me, causing me to slam on my brakes and swerve into the empty space beside him. I honked at him, and he swerved at me, then swerved into my lane and brake checked me 2x. Then he slowed up next to me and started screaming something about his pu55y. He got really pissed when I took his pic. I got a good one of his license plate too, but again - can't do anything about it (legally).
Personally, I don't really see what people get out of being stupid on the road. In this case the guy could have taken off normally or merged into traffic. As it was he didn't get to the freeway any faster than I did. I dunno.

WEll the problem is there here in US people have no concept of "surpassing" a car they change lane, stick at the same speed or 5 MPH faster than the other car and take 15 miles to pass.
In Italy you move to the left, speed up, pass and get back to the right, so someone else can pass tooif he wants. Yes you are speeding of course, you have to to pass a car.
Here people does not use the rearview mirror so they don't see you coming fast, in Italy you "flash" your HIGH beams from afar once or twice so the people knows you want to pass them and move aside...or speed up and race you
