T-Will: not all places on the east coast are cheap, but a lot of it probably has to do with accident and theft rates. around here it's on a county by county basis. a relative of mine has a Mustang GT. when he moved from his parent's house to his own house in the next county his insurance almost doubled.

im insured on my car, but am mainly on my parents 96 quest and 02 accord. i have full coverage, i just turned 21(helps) and i think they give you discounts now if you have good credit and where you finance your car.

that's a load of bull****. Im 17 and have a wrx with many mods. What makes me different from lots of other "youngsters" is that i am actually a responsible driver. The only tickets i've had were from loud exhaust. Not all people under 18 are idiot drivers. I say go for the WRX, hell, get an STI.

Been there in 2002... 1999 Viper GTS ACR and 2002 WRX sedan cost me around $1900 a year with AAA. I also had a time in there where I had two tickets on record at the same time and it jumped to almost $3000 a year in 2003 I think.
Driving the Viper was great, living with it sucked...
